In their freetime Censorettes did many activities such as swimming, tennis, and golf. They also had a debate team and amateur dramatics society. Most of the Censorettes were young, female, university students so they also had their school obligations along with their job working for the BSC examining mail.
In January 1943, RAF planes dropped hundreds of leaflets like the one pictured (left) over Bermuda as a training exercise and also to raise money for the sale of wartime savings certificates.
